Privacy policy

The short version: the calculators on this site run entirely in your browser, nothing you type into them is sent anywhere, and there are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies.

What you type into the calculators

Income, tips, overtime hours, loan details and every other figure you enter stay on your device. The arithmetic is done by code that has already been downloaded with the page; no form on this site is submitted to a server, and the figures are not stored after you close or reload the page. The site's security policy blocks the pages from sending data to any other website.

What is collected

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or social-media scripts. It does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal detail.

Like every website, it is delivered by a hosting provider — Cloudflare — whose servers necessarily see the technical details of each request: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent. Cloudflare uses these to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under its own privacy policy. OBBBA Deductions does not use these records to identify visitors.

Printing and saving

The “Print this result” buttons use your browser's own print dialog. Whatever you print or save as a PDF stays with you.

Links to other sites

Pages link to the IRS, the Federal Register and other primary sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Children

The site is written for adults preparing a US tax return and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If anything here changes — for example, if privacy-respecting visitor statistics are ever added — this page will say so, and the date at the top will move.
